A custom shortlink domain is a web domain that belongs to you and will be used to shorten your URLs, share them, and get accurate statistics of your links in Nonli.
It is advisable to create a dedicated sub-domain from your existing domain (in the following format: short.mywebsite.com, or link.mywebsite.com, or l.mywebsite.com). This custom domain will be allocated to your brand in Nonli and will enable you to automatically generate shortlinks (for example: l.mywebsite.com/abc).
1. Privacy and Security#
Nonli shortlinks do not set any Nonli application cookie, do not create visitor identifiers and do not reconstruct individual journeys. Click statistics are aggregated counters by link, post, brand or domain.
By default, Nonli does not add analytics parameters to destination URLs. If a brand configures dynamic parameters such as utm_*, at_*, mtm_* or xtor, these parameters belong to the customer's tagging plan and analytics tools. The customer must then ensure that this configuration, its CMP and its measurement tools comply with its own compliance obligations.
Shortlink redirects must not be served from a shared CDN cache. Nonli serves them with no-store headers so that each real click reaches the application before the redirect.
Cloudflare may be used as a technical provider for TLS, routing and security of short domains. Bot-protection features may remain active on redirects to block automated or malicious traffic; they are separate from Nonli click counters and are not used to create a visitor identifier or an audience-measurement purpose.
The full analysis (no trackers, data hosted in the European Union, transfers) is documented in the dedicated legal page: Data protection - Nonli shortener.
