What is the "Remove URL anchors" function?

Last updated: January 9, 2026

Also available in:Français

An anchor is an addition of information in the URL that allows you to go directly to a specific position on the corresponding page. e.g. if an Internet user shares the link of a YouTube video, it is possible to add an anchor so that the video starts at a specific time. If you don't want your shortlinks to link to a specific location on the page, Nonli allows you to automatically remove the anchors in the URL.
