Every month, Nonli's social listening measures the video views generated by the Facebook pages of the French regional daily press. Here is the August 2026 TOP 40.
Le Parisien returns to first place as the only podium page to grow over the month. Behind it, places 2 to 4 are decided by less than two million views.
1. The Month's Top 5#
Le Parisien retakes the lead with 45.7 million views (+6%) from only 68 posts, 2.2 a day, the lowest cadence in the top 5. La Dépêche du Midi (32.1 million) and La Provence (31.0 million, one spot gained) complete the podium.
Le Dauphiné Libéré gains four spots (4th, 30.1 million) at the quintet's highest cadence, 372 posts. Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace gains two (5th, 26.0 million) and posts the top 5's best ratio, 18.0%.

3. What Stands Out#
Two records in the top 10: Midi Libre gains six spots (8th, +37%) with a 32.4% ratio, and La Voix du Nord enters the top 10 (9th, +10%) for the first time since May.
The table's strongest rise belongs to Corse-Matin, which multiplies its views by 3.5 (+252%), gains sixteen spots (18th) and sets its record. Vosges Matin (12th, +63%) and Le Télégramme (16th, +54%) set theirs too, and Nord Littoral gains four spots (32nd, +24%).
L'Ardennais makes its first appearance in the ranking, 26th with 84.0% of its community in views per post. The month's best efficiency goes to Le Courrier de l'Ouest, back in 30th place with 231.8% from five posts. France-Antilles Martinique returns with its record (33rd) and France-Antilles Guadeloupe is back in the TOP 40 (38th).
4. Methodology#
The data comes from Nonli's social listening, which continuously tracks the public Facebook pages of the French regional daily press. Only one page per media brand is counted: its main page, without aggregating local or topical pages. The ranking covers views on videos and Reels published between August 1 and 31, 2026, read through the Nonli API. Since views keep accruing after publication, small differences with later readings are normal. Follower counts are those observed when the ranking was generated.
