Every month, Nonli's social listening measures the views generated by Reels on the Instagram accounts of France's regional daily newspapers (the "PQR"). Here is the June 2026 TOP 40.
Le Parisien stays on top, as on every edition since this series began. But the gap is melting: La Dépêche du Midi, at 80 million views, closes to within 15 million of the leader.
1. The Month's Top 5#
Le Parisien keeps the lead with 94.8 million views from 254 posts. Behind, La Dépêche du Midi accelerates hard: 80 million (+72%), a 93.1% ratio, and a gap to first place cut from 70 to under 15 million in one month.
The next trio sits within 400,000 views: Le Progrès takes 3rd place (35.1 million), ahead of Le Dauphiné Libéré (34.9 million, 388 posts, the cadence record of the table) and L'Est Républicain (34.7 million, +38%), which joins the top 5 with an 82.5% ratio.

Le Courrier de l'OuestHow to read the "Views per follower" column: 100% means an average post earns as many views as the account has followers. On Instagram, Reels circulate far beyond communities, and the regional press benefits from it more than anyone.
3. What Stands Out#
The outlier month belongs to Le Maine libre: views multiplied by 41, from 147,000 to 6 million, and a leap from 39th to 14th place, with a 1,233% ratio from 31 posts.
Presse Océan (+219%, 20th, a 418.5% ratio) and Le Télégramme (+231%, 21st) triple their volumes. Journal L'ALSACE (+104%, 17th) and Le Républicain Lorrain (+126%, 30th) double theirs.
And the month's oddity: Le Petit Bleu d'Agen published a single Reel in June. It was viewed 222,462 times, 12,400% of its 1,687-follower community.
4. Methodology#
The data comes from Nonli's social listening, which continuously tracks the public Instagram accounts of the French regional daily press. Only one account per media brand is counted: its main account, without aggregating local or topical accounts. The ranking covers views on Reels published between June 1 and 30, 2026, read through the Nonli API. Since views keep accruing after publication, small differences with later readings are normal. Follower counts are those observed when the ranking was generated.
