French Regional Press Facebook Ranking: August 2025

Every month, Nonli's social listening measures the video views generated by the Facebook pages of France's regional daily newspapers (the "PQR", presse quotidienne régionale). Here is the August 2025 TOP 40, with each account's view volume, publishing cadence and a per-post performance indicator.

1. The Month's Top 5#

Le Parisien leads the ranking with 36,914,365 views from 128 posts. La Provence follows with 13,322,514 views, ahead of La Dépêche du Midi (10,822,588 views). Le Dauphiné Libéré and Midi Libre round out the top 5 with 10,793,832 views and 8,665,041 views.

How to read the "Views per follower" column: 100% means an average post earns as many views as the page has followers. It's a good proxy for an account's ability to reach beyond its own community.

3. What Stands Out#

On efficiency, L'Éveil de la Haute-Loire shows the best views-per-post-vs-followers ratio in the ranking (468.3%): an average post there reaches an audience well beyond its own community size.

4. Methodology#

The data comes from Nonli's social listening, which continuously tracks the public Facebook pages of French regional dailies (PQR). The ranking covers video views on videos and Reels published between August 1 and 31, 2025. Counters are read at the end of the period; since views keep accruing after publication, small differences with later readings are normal.
