French Regional Press Facebook Ranking: January 2026

Every month, Nonli's social listening measures the video views generated by the Facebook pages of France's regional daily newspapers (the "PQR", presse quotidienne régionale). Here is the January 2026 TOP 40, with each account's view volume, publishing cadence and a per-post performance indicator.

1. The Month's Top 5#

Le Parisien leads the ranking with 38,044,658 views from 208 posts. La Provence follows with 29,938,932 views, ahead of La Dépêche du Midi (23,045,638 views). Le Dauphiné Libéré and Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace - DNA round out the top 5 with 19,777,173 views and 18,747,024 views.

How to read the "Views per follower" column: 100% means an average post earns as many views as the page has followers. It's a good proxy for an account's ability to reach beyond its own community.

3. What Stands Out#

Compared with December 2025, Var-Matin posts the biggest climb in the table: 13 places gained, from 19th to 6th. Centre Presse, absent the previous month, enters the ranking at 40th (418,464 views). On efficiency, Le Courrier de l'Ouest shows the best views-per-post-vs-followers ratio in the ranking (348.5%): an average post there reaches an audience well beyond its own community size.

4. Methodology#

The data comes from Nonli's social listening, which continuously tracks the public Facebook pages of French regional dailies (PQR). The ranking covers video views on videos and Reels published between January 1 and 31, 2026. Counters are read at the end of the period; since views keep accruing after publication, small differences with later readings are normal.
