French News Media Instagram Ranking: September 2025

Every month, Nonli's social listening measures the views generated by videos and Reels on the Instagram accounts of France's main news media. Here is the September 2025 TOP 40, with each account's view volume, publishing cadence and a per-post performance indicator.

1. The Month's Top 5#

Brut. leads the ranking with 486,942,859 views from 307 posts. RTL follows with 88,391,561 views, ahead of Le Parisien (85,678,003 views). France Inter and Le20h-France Télévisions round out the top 5 with 75,466,847 views and 55,953,972 views.

How to read the "Views per follower" column: 100% means an average post earns as many views as the page has followers. It's a good proxy for an account's ability to reach beyond its own community.

3. What Stands Out#

Compared with August 2025, CNEWS posts the biggest climb in the table: 16 places gained, from 40th to 24th. Le20h-France Télévisions, absent the previous month, enters the ranking at 5th (55,953,972 views). On efficiency, Chaîne nationale des régions shows the best views-per-post-vs-followers ratio in the ranking (373.0%): an average post there reaches an audience well beyond its own community size.

4. Methodology#

The data comes from Nonli's social listening, which continuously tracks the public Instagram accounts of French news media. The ranking covers video views on videos and Reels published between September 1 and 30, 2025. Counters are read at the end of the period; since views keep accruing after publication, small differences with later readings are normal.
