French News Media Instagram Ranking: December 2025

Every month, Nonli's social listening measures the views generated by videos and Reels on the Instagram accounts of France's main news media. Here is the December 2025 TOP 40, with each account's view volume, publishing cadence and a per-post performance indicator.

1. The Month's Top 5#

Brut. leads the ranking with 490,626,803 views from 330 posts. France Inter follows with 113,894,492 views, ahead of RTL (99,804,646 views). Le Parisien and TF1 INFO round out the top 5 with 83,325,545 views and 73,110,956 views.

How to read the "Views per follower" column: 100% means an average post earns as many views as the page has followers. It's a good proxy for an account's ability to reach beyond its own community.

3. What Stands Out#

Compared with November 2025, Ouest-France posts the biggest climb in the table: 7 places gained, from 29th to 22nd. TV5MONDE, absent the previous month, enters the ranking at 25th (9,681,141 views). On efficiency, Chaîne nationale des régions shows the best views-per-post-vs-followers ratio in the ranking (206.4%): an average post there reaches an audience well beyond its own community size.

4. Methodology#

The data comes from Nonli's social listening, which continuously tracks the public Instagram accounts of French news media. The ranking covers video views on videos and Reels published between December 1 and 31, 2025. Counters are read at the end of the period; since views keep accruing after publication, small differences with later readings are normal.
