French News Media Instagram Ranking: January 2026

Every month, Nonli's social listening measures the views generated by videos and Reels on the Instagram accounts of France's main news media. Here is the January 2026 TOP 40, with each account's view volume, publishing cadence and a per-post performance indicator.

1. The Month's Top 5#

Brut. leads the ranking with 515,475,468 views from 341 posts. France Inter follows with 125,590,980 views, ahead of RTL (109,659,802 views). TF1 INFO and BFM round out the top 5 with 108,927,021 views and 97,282,420 views.

How to read the "Views per follower" column: 100% means an average post earns as many views as the page has followers. It's a good proxy for an account's ability to reach beyond its own community.

3. What Stands Out#

Compared with December 2025, LCI posts the biggest climb in the table: 13 places gained, from 33rd to 20th. RFI, absent the previous month, enters the ranking at 34th (7,137,626 views). On efficiency, Chaîne nationale des régions shows the best views-per-post-vs-followers ratio in the ranking (178.3%): an average post there reaches an audience well beyond its own community size.

4. Methodology#

The data comes from Nonli's social listening, which continuously tracks the public Instagram accounts of French news media. The ranking covers video views on videos and Reels published between January 1 and 31, 2026. Counters are read at the end of the period; since views keep accruing after publication, small differences with later readings are normal.
