Every month, Nonli's social listening measures the views generated by videos and Reels on the Instagram accounts of France's main news media. Here is the February 2026 TOP 40.
The month is shorter and volumes mechanically dip. What didn't slow down is movement at the top: RTL takes 2nd place, L'Équipe enters the top 5, and the middle of the table gets reshuffled.
1. The Month's Top 5#
Brut. remains untouchable: 491.2 million views, nearly five times the runner-up. Behind it, RTL moved past France Inter with 105.9 million views against 102.4. The gap is small, 3.5 million, but RTL lined up 413 posts over the month, the highest cadence in the top 5, and that consistency pays.
TF1 INFO held 4th place with 78.9 million views. L'Équipe entered the top 5 with 71.2 million views from just 160 posts: one of the best views-per-post ratios in the ranking. Sports content works.

Courrier InternationalHow to read the "Views per follower" column: 100% means an average post earns as many views as the account has followers. On Instagram, where Reels travel far outside communities, this ratio climbs fast for accounts whose formats click.
3. What Stands Out#
franceinfo gained two spots to reach 7th with 64.6 million views from 295 posts, just ahead of BFMTV (64.3M), which stays in the top 8 with a strong 33% views-per-post-to-community ratio. M6 Info kept its momentum in 9th: 44.2 million views and an average post earning 53% of its community size in views.
The real curiosity of the month sits in 24th place. Var-matin published 35 Reels in February for 10.9 million views, with 111,000 followers. Each post averaged 2.8 times its community size in views, the best ratio in the national ranking. LCP-Assemblée nationale (120%) and actu.fr (173%) play in the same register.
Another lesson: the regional press has settled into the national table. Le Dauphiné Libéré (12th), Le Progrès (13th) and L'Est Républicain (14th) outrank a good share of national brands, publishing more than 10 times a day. Le Figaro held its 15th place with 24.7 million views, and Le Monde remained the top national daily in 10th with only 87 posts.
4. Methodology#
The data comes from Nonli's social listening, which continuously tracks the public Instagram accounts of French news media. The ranking covers views on videos and Reels published between February 1 and 28, 2026. Counters are read at the end of the period; since views keep accruing after publication, small differences with later readings are normal.
