Every month, Nonli's social listening measures the views generated by Reels on the Instagram accounts of France's regional daily newspapers (the "PQR", presse quotidienne régionale). Here is the January 2026 TOP 40, with each account's view volume, publishing cadence and a per-post performance indicator.

1. The Month's Top 5#

Le Parisien leads the ranking with 97,223,901 views from 223 posts. Le Dauphiné Libéré follows with 32,881,475 views, ahead of Le Progrès (31,325,456 views). La Dépêche du Midi and La Provence round out the top 5 with 27,515,675 views and 21,406,092 views.

How to read the "Views per follower" column: 100% means an average post earns as many views as the page has followers. It's a good proxy for an account's ability to reach beyond its own community.

3. What Stands Out#

Compared with December 2025, Presse Océan posts the biggest climb in the table: 10 places gained, from 37th to 27th. Le Petit Bleu d'Agen, absent the previous month, enters the ranking at 40th (16,613 views). On efficiency, Le Journal de Saône-et-Loire shows the best views-per-post-vs-followers ratio in the ranking (233.0%): an average post there reaches an audience well beyond its own community size.

4. Methodology#

The data comes from Nonli's social listening, which continuously tracks the public Instagram accounts of French regional dailies (PQR). The ranking covers Reels views on Reels published between January 1 and 31, 2026. Counters are read at the end of the period; since views keep accruing after publication, small differences with later readings are normal.
