French News Media Facebook Page Ranking: September 2026

Every month, Nonli's social listening measures the video views generated by the Facebook pages of France's main news media. Here is the September 2026 TOP 40.

Brut. retakes first place and the podium is back to back-to-school volumes: the top three pages all pass 195 million views. The TOP 40 totals 1.64 billion views, 13% more than in August.

1. The Month's Top 5#

Brut. retakes the lead with 261.1 million views (+95%) from 477 posts, and keeps the top 5's largest community, 11.1 million followers. BFMTV holds 2nd place at 244.8 million (+63%) and posts the top 5's best ratio, 8.0%. TF1 INFO, August's leader, completes the podium with 196.5 million views.

RTL gains three spots and is back just off the podium (4th, 90.9 million, +58%). franceinfo completes the top 5 at 73.8 million, at the quintet's highest cadence: 740 posts, 24.7 a day.

How to read the "Views per follower" column: 100% means an average post earns as many views as the page has followers. It's a good proxy for an account's ability to reach beyond its own community.

3. What Stands Out#

Le Figaro has its record month: 42.2 million views, more than double August (+133%), and eleven spots gained up to 11th place, its best rank on the series. L'Équipe gains four spots (6th, +25%) and M6 Info enters the top 10 (10th).

Réel média enters the ranking straight at 12th place, with 39.4 million views and 50.1% of its community in views per post. Numerama also appears for the first time (33rd). The table's best ratio stays with HugoDécrypte, 95.0% from 84 posts (13th).

Europe 1 and Le HuffPost more than double their views: Europe 1 gains thirteen spots (22nd, +131%) and Le HuffPost sets its record (29th, +151%). Futura also sets its record and best rank (17th, +51%), RFI gains five spots (14th, +67%) and La Voix du Nord reaches its best rank on the series (25th). La Montagne and Nice-Matin return to the TOP 40.

4. Methodology#

The data comes from Nonli's social listening, which continuously tracks the public Facebook pages of French news media. Only one page per media brand is counted: its main page, without aggregating local or topical pages. The ranking covers views on videos and Reels published between September 1 and 30, 2026, read through the Nonli API. Since views keep accruing after publication, small differences with later readings are normal. Follower counts are those observed when the ranking was generated.
