Chaîne nationale des régionsHow to read the "Views per follower" column: 100% means an average post earns as many views as the account has followers. On Instagram, where Reels travel far outside communities, this ratio climbs fast for accounts whose formats click.
3. What Stands Out#
Le 20h de France Télévisions posted the strongest growth at the top of the table: +84% views and an entry into the top 10. BFMTV gained one spot (6th) with a 31.3% ratio, and Le Monde grew its volume by 36%.
Three accounts passed 100% efficiency this month: Le HuffPost (136%), actu.fr (134%) and LCI (130%). For those three, every Reel reaches more people than they have followers.
Réel média gained seven places (18th), confirming that video pure players are carving out a durable spot in the French news landscape on Instagram.
4. Methodology#
The data comes from Nonli's social listening, which continuously tracks the public Instagram accounts of French news media. The ranking covers views on videos and Reels published between April 1 and 30, 2026, read through the Nonli API. Since views keep accruing after publication, small differences with later readings are normal. Follower counts are those observed when the ranking was generated.
In the same series, previous month: March 2026 ranking; next month: May 2026 ranking.
This ranking is published every month on this blog and on Nonli's LinkedIn page. To track these metrics for your own accounts and your market, get in touch.
